Youth In Our Community & Everett Branch


Two separate bursaries are available through the Chester Basin Everett Branch #88 of the Royal Canadian Legion to support students in their post-secondary education:

a. The Everett Branch #88 Royal Canadian Legion Veteran's Memorial Bursary - available to the child or grandchild of a member in good standing of Everett Branch #88.

2018 Winner: Kayla Mosher. Congratulations!

b. The Jerry and Mabel Siefert Memorial Award in recognition of community service - an award of $500 to a graduating student from Forest Heights Community School.

2018 Winner: Gabby Rivard. Congratulations!

To apply for either or both of these bursaries, contact your school's Guidance Counsellor OR select from the listing below to download the required form(s).

Youth Leadership Camp

As indicated on the Nova Scotia/Nunavut Command web site, a camp is held annually in late June at the Dalhousie Agriculture Campus in Truro, Nova Scotia for Grades 10 and 11 students from Nova Scotia and Nunavut High Schools. The application deadline is the end of April in each year however late applications are accepted. Applications can be downloaded from the link below. A copy of the Camp Information Booklet is also available via the link below. The cost of the camp to the branch (at the time of this notice) is $150 per student to assist in the cost of the camp. 

The Legion's Youth Leadership Camp was started in 1961.
