Fridays, pick-up/takeout or eat-in at the Legion

NOTE: CALL BY WEDNESDAY EVENING FOR FRIDAY PICK-UP or EAT-IN

Call Danette at (902) 531-2402 or Natalie at (902) 273-2341 to find out what's for dinner and to pre-order.

$15 per person; tell your friends.

No meals available Friday without pre-order by Wednesday evening.

Pick-up/Eat-in Fridays at 5:00 pm.

Also weekly Friday 50/50 draws - $1.00/ticket for name in hat.

Winner will receive sanitized cash the following Friday.

Annual General Meeting Tuesday, April 28, at 7:30 pm

Our Annual General Meeting will take place upstairs at Everett Branch No. 88, Chester Basin, Tuesday, April 28, at 7:30 pm.

Hope you can join us to keep up with what's happening in our Legion Community. 

Social, bar open and snacks in the lounge after the meeting.

Donations to Support Our Veterans and Our Community

Donations may be made as follows:

a. send an eTransfer to DonationChesterBasinLegion@gmail.com anytime.

b. if you would like an income tax receipt for any donation of $25 or more, make your cheque payable to: “Municipality of the District of Chester” and include “DCPF for Chester Basin Legion” in the folio line on the front of the cheque. Provide your cheque to the Municipal Office in Chester ("Municipality of the District of Chester, 151 King St., PO Box 369, Chester, NS B0J 1J0") or drop it off at the Chester Basin Legion main lounge bar (25 Hwy #12) during opening hours. Etransfers may also be sent to Payments@chester.ca. Be sure to include both "Chester Basin Legion" and the mailing address where the receipt is to be sent.

c. if you do not need a tax receipt, please make your cheque out to “Everett Branch No. 88, Chester Basin Legion”, and drop it off at the main lounge bar (25 Hwy #3) during opening hours, or mail it to: “Everett Branch No. 88, Chester Basin Legion, PO Box 31, Chester Basin, NS B0J 1K0.”

If you're planning a wedding, dinner, dance, or other special event and looking for the right local place and great value, give us a call so you can include the Chester Basin Legion/ Community Hall among your options. 

With rental fees starting at $50/hour, our free Internet access, an 8' x 8' projection screen, and a climate controlled environment can help to make your event enjoyable and memorable. 

Natalie Forsyth, at (902) 273-2341, will be happy to help with your questions concerning available dates, room layout, meals or snacks as applicable, and other aspects of planning your event.

Note on Memorial Services or Receptions

The Chester Basin Legion hall and facilities are available for a memorial service or related reception. 

Should the family wish to reach out to members of the Community, we would be pleased to assist with the use of the Everett Branch emailing list to do so. 

The family would be asked to provide their request and the wording of the notice in writing.

super sports 2025

On February 15th six teams competed at Supersports 2025. Lots of fun was had by all. This year the rounds were timed and the day began just after 10am and ended at 3:35pm.

SUPER SPORTS 2024

We hosted our annual  Super Sports Competition Sat, 17 Feb with 12 teams from New Ross, Chester and Chester Basin from 10 am to 7:30 pm. There was heated competition in all of the four events, Auction 45's, Darts and Shuffleboard or Pool along with laughs and great fun had by all. We would like to thank all of the persons in attendance and hope to have even more competitors for next year. A special thanks and congratulations to everyone from Jayne and Scott MacKenzie and Don Ruston!
