From the Chester Playhouse:
Bluebirds, a play by Governor General Award-winning playwright Vern Thiessen, tells the moving tale of three young nurses—Christy, Maggie, and Bab—who leave their homes to care for wounded soldiers on the front lines during the First World War. Set in Étaples, France in 1918, the play captures the untold stories of those who served and sacrificed, offering a deeply emotional and uplifting tribute to the courage and resilience of the human spirit.
